Wunderlich Named to SIFMA Board

(MEMPHIS, TN / November 18, 2016) - Wunderlich Securities today announced the appointment of Gary K. Wunderlich, Jr., CEO, to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) 2017 Board of Directors.  SIFMA serves as the voice of the U.S. securities industry in advocating for effective and resilient capital markets. Board members are CEOs of member firms elected by the SIFMA membership to manage the business and affairs of the association.

Since founding Wunderlich Securities in 1996, Mr. Wunderlich has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s operations, as well as taken an active role in the financial services industry. In addition to his new role on the SIFMA board, he serves as a member of the Regional Firms Committee and as a founding participant of the Advisory Council.

Wunderlich is also a founding board member of the American Securities Association (ASA). He previously served as chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) District 5 Committee and was a member of both the Advisory Council and the National Membership Committee.
